Plusieurs tableaux appartenant à la ville de Nieuport ont été ramenés du Havre par le gouvernement et ont été déposés au palais de Justice de Bruxelles. En août 1920, il est question d’en opérer le transfert au Musée en attendant la reconstruction de l’hôtel de ville de Nieuport.
