Le Véronèse (modèle dont les dimensions sont 200 x 325 cm) a appartenu au comte Joseph Albrizzi de Venise, puis est passé en 1830 à l’abbé Ange Fornasieri. L’œuvre peinte par Véronèse pour le réfectoire des Bénédictins de San Giorgio Maggiore à Venise a pour dimensions 677 x 994 cm et est entrée au Louvre en 1798 (inv. 142).
