En 1923, Mr A. Brémont dit avoir vu un tableau semblable à Rome chez le prince de Candriano (Camillo dei Principi Ruspoli, Rome, 1882 – Havana, 1949), lequel tableau a fait partie de la collection Walpole à Hougton, achetée par Catherine II laquelle donna le tableau à Potemkine, etc.
